In envisioning their long-term, forever home, these homeowners wanted to remodel their primary bathroom to better support daily living today while planning thoughtfully for the years ahead. The goal was to create a space that feels beautiful, comfortable, and easy to live in.

The original layout included a large, unused jetted tub that occupied valuable square footage, along with a small fiberglass shower that limited usability. The space felt constrained and didn’t reflect how the homeowners wanted it to function.

We reimagined the bathroom to be more open and functional, incorporating universal design principles to support long-term ease of use. The oversized tub was replaced with a bright, spacious zero-threshold shower with clean lines and improved accessibility. In place of the former shower, a floor-to-ceiling custom storage cabinet was added for practical organization. A key part of the design was integrating new materials with existing elements—the original vanity and countertops were carefully preserved, while new cabinetry was crafted to match, creating a cohesive look that feels original to the home. Skylights above the shower bring in natural light, enhancing the bathroom’s soft, neutral palette and calm, balanced feel.

The project extended into the living room, where a custom fireplace mantel and built-in entertainment cabinetry were thoughtfully integrated—bringing added function and a more refined architectural presence to the home.
